Manufactured Poverty TV ad for poverty in third world country Often, a TV ad will air, showing the extreme poverty in a third-world country; showing some of the children looking bad enough to break the flintiest heart.  Of course, they will, that is what it is designed to do, appeal to the heart and compassion of the viewer. Getting water for family  These children are positioned around old nasty water drainage; all are made for TV rag-urchins pleading for your American dollar, which by the way seldom puts adequate food, clean water, clothing, and proper shelter in that outreached hand.  There are wonderful faith-based organizations, which do a great job with global poverty, do not mistake what is being written as a blanket condemnation of all those who are trying to help.  The point is; what is Washington’s idea on stopping the hemorrhaging?  Look at the federal budget, Washington is throwing money at poverty programs, (more than enough), the problem

Where is the Christian Church? It Appears Dead Has the church lost its influence in America?  I for one do not believe it has, it may be somewhat misplaced, but that may be God’s plan to prune some of the ‘dead wood’ from the tree.  Several denominations have declared their progressive politically correct liberal views.  Many Christians today simply do not use the word “sin” or admit there is such a thing. Helms Every day for the past month or so, the question most asked is: What’s the Problem?  The problem is politicians who don’t seem to give a damn about their constituents once they are voted into office.  the longer they are in office the less they care, (until six months to a year before election), then it is who can tell the best lie and which side can set the talking points first forcing the other side to try to play defense. The master of the ‘shell game’ is at it again; when he announced that he was taking gun control head on.  The idea of taxes, spending, Benghazi affair, fast and furious, and the fiscal cliff recovery, plus other issues such as the debt ceiling increase etc., is going to be in the shadows of the gun control issue, which will go nowhere, unless he usurps the constitution. Evil Came to Sandy Hook Elementary By R.S.Helms Two weeks before Christmas the scene would be excited children with presents under the tree, parents worried if they had provided their families with an adequate and festive Christmas.  The tone set at school would be one of festive holidays and fun times ahead.  There was more likely an atmosphere of well being in the small “bedroom community” of Newton Connecticut as parents left for work and the children were just getting settled in for their day of school. That sounds like so many communities across this great nation, but it was not going to be that way for this community expecting the jolly old elf to make an appearance in just a couple of weeks; little did they know or expect that instead of Santa, it would be pure evil about to interrupt their tranquility and holiday excitement.  It is not really known what transpired at the home of Ms. Nancy Lanza, except this is where the carnage begun, as this evil controlled

Saving the Church in America. There exists today a definite social persecution of Christianity, the church, and Jesus Christ.  Trying to remove Jesus (Christianity), from the public square and all symbols of this nation’s heritage of Christianity and being a Christian Nation is starting to work.  First with the folks attending and being involved in regular church, they are falling away and I put a lot of blame at the pastors door, because of losing the tax exempt status, and losing members that may be offended by what would be a conservative point of view, today’s preachers and pastors dance around political issues, or simply will not be involved from the pulpit. It is sort of what happened to the sermons addressing sin, they slowly left the dialogue other than to say that Jesus forgives sin, and Jesus came into the world to redeem us from sin.  It is but a handful of churches that address sin, and especially the sin of our social environment.  I was not a great f
