Helms It may be a change to read about something positive, or at least as the Lord viewed the church at Smyrna.   This is a church, which may well reflect in the universal church, your local church, and of course, the church is people, it is a good standard to judge our personal spiritual position. The word Smyrna has as its root, the word myrrh is a substance that has the sweet smell and used in the making of perfume, incense, and medicine.   Smyrna was a beautiful city with rich farmland; and often referred to as the ‘crown of Asia.’   Nonetheless, it was also the center of Caesar-worship in Asia Minor; the infamous ‘golden street’ that ran from the harbor up to Mt. DALLAS MOURNS

GOD BLESS THOSE WHO MOURN… I begin, with a sincere, heartfelt condolence to the families, loved ones, and friends of the fallen Dallas policemen, who sacrificed their lives that the community of Dallas would be safe.  I will spend time in prayer for you the families and loved ones who are morning your personal loss.  I pray not for their behalf, but for yours, your comfort, and peace to come over you as you grieve with a broken heart.  You are the personal side of the character of our law enforcement officers, and as such, deserving of our prayers, I am part of the mass who are effected by the tragic loss of such selfless public servants. Recognizing the vast differences in the essence of our loss, makes it my Christian obligation, and my civic duty, to join you in the mourning and prayers during this time, fitting to remember our servant heroes, and to honor them in memorial.  I thank them for their service, and know that the community of Dallas wi...

On a peaceful suburban street, strange occurrences, purposely caused by hidden aliens, stoke the residents’ paranoia to a disastrous intensity. Once friendly neighbors start accusing one another and then, inevitably, begin killing each other. We are now living in a sort of twilight zone, a science fiction horror movie. Many of us are being told to spy on each other, monitor one another, report any deviancy, take pictures. We have been ordered to close our churches, our schools, our restaurants, our businesses, no family dinners or get-togethers, use social distancing, practically everyone needs a haircut. Our president, who is not totally immune to misinformation, is actually being advised that the economic lockdown and the social distancing should continue until 2022. My God, is everyone nuts? ...
