Messages of Revelation

The Loveless Church We come to the First Church in the list of Seven, (Rev. 2:1 – 7), However, if you recall some of the introduction in chapter one, it is the Lord Jesus’ revelation to His servant John and in verse three, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” So, what does “is near” mean?   Well God knew just how long it would take Christianity to run its faithful and committed course and He didn’t make me or anyone privy to how long it would actually be until the end of its age and sufferings, of its persecution.   We do know that Jesus will come in the clouds and those who sleep in the Lord will rise first, then those of us who are still struggling along, will meet them in the air, in a twinkling of an eye.   That will be the close of the church age, when Christ collects His church. Chapter two verse l: -- 7: “To the angel of the church of Ephesus wr

Thoughts for Today pt 2

Thoughts For Today Part two of two   We pick up where we left off, and that is inspecting the fruit of people.   Here at home, people become outraged at the evil carnage committed by the Islamic State in the Middle East, Kenia, and other Muslim regimes, while downplaying radical Islamic terrorist bloodbaths in western nations.   Yet these so-called homegrown terrorist cells enjoy the freedom to move about and organize using Islam Mosques for recruiting and radicalizing Muslims.   Where is the sustained outrage?   The president, demonstrated outrage over evil committed in Paris, and then went back to yuking it up with his friends on the golf course.   He demonstrated his outrage against the Christian Crusades, ether not knowing the facts, or purposely blaming Christian aggression for committing this evil, or indirectly placing blame on the Christians for the problems with Islam.   From the day Adam took a bite of the fruit of the tree, there has been evil in the hea

Teach Us to Pray...

Teach us to pray… D uring one of the many times that I truly examine my relationship with the Lord, I often find that I am not measuring up to what I preach.  What I preach is, the necessity of a consistent maintenance of that relationship, what I find is my life and actions are not hitting the mark, the prize that is laid before me seems unattainable.  Too often the sin of omission overtakes us while we journey through this world.  It is too easy to get away from being Christ centered and slip to the world, and our human nature.  Point is without the intimacy in our relationship with God it will become an estranged relationship.  It is in times like these that when we ask, and don’t receive, it is because we ask amiss; ask over a broken connection.  Sin, can be either in action, or in apathy; that does not change the fact that sin is sin and alienates us from the intimate love relationship with Jesus. Now t

Jesus wrote on the ground

Jesus Wrote on the Ground The Supreme Court decided public prayer at a public meeting was constitutional.  That is a great decision on their part; however, it has some of the anti Christians, anti God people hopping mad.  There have been many posts and comments from both sides of the argument, many yeas, and some nay.  Bear in mind however, that both liberal and progressive bureaucrats have had their negative comments.  For me, I am rejoicing in the Lord over the victory, they would not get so “red-faced” if it did not hit home.  After reading a cartoon posted in the TownHall conservative webzine, I commented about something about how prayer in public reveals the sin of those listening.  That reminded me of a sermon I once wrote and delivered, “Jesus started to write on the ground”, it comes from the book of John 8 th chapter and verses 3 —11. Couple of points, concerning SIN our sin and how God always points it out   fo

Where is the Church?

Image
Where is the Christian Church? It Appears Dead Has the church lost its influence in America?  I for one do not believe it has, it may be somewhat misplaced, but that may be God’s plan to prune some of the ‘dead wood’ from the tree.  Several denominations have declared their progressive politically correct liberal views.  Many Christians today simply do not use the word “sin” or admit there is such a thing. The liberals have set the talking points, demonizing Christianity to the point that it is embarrassing to hear the stupidity pouring from their mouths, or in most cases written across a comment space after a story.  If you don’t believe that just visit my e-mail or view a comment section of a Christian story.  The loss of values in this nation is linked or is a result of the assault on faith in Jesus.  Liberals have provided a platform for all types of special interest (sin) groups and the Atheist, to promote

Conservative victory … not  yet Get Ready For A War Not so NEW, news flash! It was not long ago that I hinted at Romney gaining the Republican nominee for the presidential race this time around.  Many real conservatives would rather it be someone more representative of the conservative ideologies, which Senator Santorum was more suited than Mitt Romney.  Sad to say the Senator suspended his campaign,  Newt Gingrich stopped his and Ron Paul is it out to show that he has longsuffering, (some people really like pain).  Although it is not set in stone as of yet, but to my disappointment it does look like the republicans will have some hard fast healing and uniting to get through to pull this election off. Give 'em' some Tea   First, we will need the support of the Tea Partiers, as radical as we may be to the Liberals, nonetheless, the promises of “contract with America” campaigning that won the H
